Who We Are

The California Investigative Academy is a California Department of Insurance (CDI) approved Continuing Education (CE) provider (CDI CE# 21074).

What We Do

We provide anti-fraud and other investigative training to the insurance and law enforcement industries, including:

  • Seminars, workshops, and in-house presentations
  • In-house training programs
  • On-line, web based training & webinars
  • Books, manuals, newsletters & self-directed courses of study
  • We also provide professional certification for those who qualify

We also provide investigative and anti-fraud consulting services, including:

  • Anti-fraud compliance program development
  • Designated SIU services (through our investigative affiliate)
  • Managed care anti-fraud program management
  • Written anti-fraud policies & procedures

We also provide a variety of services to private investigators and those who would like to be private investigators:

  • We can help you to own your own private investigative agency in California, even if you don't have the required 6,000 hours of experience, or for whatever reason cannot pass the State test, or prefer not to take it.
  • We can help you form your own investigative corporation so you can compete in the corporate world
  • We can help you with establishing your corporate brand and teach you guerilla marketing techniques that will help you succeed in a very competitive industry

Our Staff

Our teaching staff and associates have developed and delivered training presentations to virtually every major insurance carrier in California, in addition to a number of municipal, county, state and federal agencies, health plans, investigative agencies, attorneys, physicians and other industry professionals.

Our staff is made up of industry experts and leaders who participate in  a wide range of industry projects, including but not limited to:
